For Alan Tudyk, Loved you as Gary West in the Final Season of Santa Clarita Diet as Well as Mr. Nobody. Which did you find more challenging make-up/special effects wise and which did you find more interesting as a character to play?

Hey April, I have to say Rita is my favorite character on the show but I and many others have been disappointed that she hasn’t been using her powers that much. Will she be using those powers soon , what can we expect from her, and can we expect to see the cast and crew at New York City Comic Con this year?

I have a question for both Alan & April. Did they know about these characters coming in, or did they have to do massive amount of research to prepare for this role.

For both Alan and April, how much did you research your characters when you were cast

Hello all, I’m a little fanstruck even typing this. I love the comics and think the show has done a great job of bringing the zanyness to life. With you both carrying the most outlandish of all the main characters, do you ever look at the material and wonder how in the world you are going to pull it off? I love where both of you have brought the characters. Keep it up. I can’t wait to see more!

For April, what do you think you learned from playing Stacy from Drop Dead Diva that you were able to bring into your acting here as Rita?

love the performances from both, just amazing and genuine, scene to scene

since she seems to pull it off effortlessly and maintain that Rita Farr poise while doing so … curious if acting with food props so often is the untold nightmare it appears to be …

First of all, great job! I love the show, and your character performances are wonderful. And my two questions - #1 is with regards to the latest episode, where at the ending we saw Mr. Nobody with all kinds of Doom Patrol schwag - among other things, a Doom Patrol mug… When does the Doom Patrol mug become available to the rest of us Nobodys on the DC Universe store? Please make it a large enough mug to hold Mr. Nobody’s ego, or two regular size cups of coffee. Question #2 is with respect to Rita and her powers, as I am interested in seeing yet more of the full extent of her abilities such as GIANT and micro size humanoid shapes… will we hopefully see an impressive range of powers emerge that can in effect match the Deus Ex Machina level capabilities of her Doom Patrol peers? Thank you.

April, what is it like to play a giant goo monster before special effects are added. What scene was the weirdest to film.

For Alan. How do feel taking on this huge but what seems like super fun role? Do you feel like like this is a character you just are having a blast playing and are we gonna see you again in a season 2? Sorry lots of questions!

My question is I sob and hug them tightly, continuing to sob. Then I hug the mods who come to escort me out of this thread and sob.

A question for April Bowlby.
What are a couple of your favorite actress choices/intentions/motivations in creating the specificity and subtlety of Rita?

Rita is far the most composed of all the Doom Patrol members. She has her inner tension and desire to hold herself together. This comes out in precision and subtly with your performance. Which I greatly admire. It is often not seen in the “hero genre”, and is very refreshing.

Mr. Tudyk…you are a wonderful talent and your time spent in the DC fold across various mediums is a true treasure of a jewel and highly appreciated by fans.

On the note of a jewel, are you aware that your Firefly/Serenity co-star Jewel Staite also dabbled in the voice work arena? One of her gigs was the 1997 “Mummies Alive!” TV show. She too has roots in DC TV as she was also a guest star on Legends of Tomorrow.

Is there a DC character that you are chomping at the bit to play in a live action DC movie?

Also, who among the Warner Brothers are you most like? Yakko or Wakko?

Thank you kind sir. Have a pleasant tomorrow!

Do you know if there will be a second season of doom patrol? I really hope there is. I think you two and the rest of the cast have done an amazing job. I think this also goes for the people working behind the scenes. The people in charge of DC universe would be making a huge mistake if they don’t renew this show for a second season.

Also, How did you get involved with the doom patrol show and why did it appeal to you?

Thank you
