I have been a huge fan of comics since I was just a little girl, I grew up with them and it’s what I always wanted to do!
Live Q&A w/ Joëlle Jones, Comic Writer & Artist of CATWOMAN, BATMAN, & More, Tues 4/14 @5pm PT/8pm ET!
That is just simply awesome! SO happy your childhood dream came true!
I am, thanks for asking!
1-My Catwoman scripts are an absolute mess and pretty much impossible to read by anyone but me. I do have to write for other artists occasionally and I try to go pretty traditional format on those.
2-The best advice I can give is never write a scene you aren’t excited to draw, if you have just a dialogue scene make the setting exciting, a bad guy “dialogueing”? Have other characters reacting in a fun way. If you don’t enjoy it people can always tell.
Hope that helps!
I’ll see what I can do
Thanks a bunch!
I am beyond interested to see her in any suit! Can’t wait to get a peek!
Thanks Ms. Jones!
@joellejones Thank you for taking the time to talk to us and answer questions. I’m so excited to find out what you’ll be working on next!
I totally agree with you!
When I got started I made sure to give Laura Allred the colorist the note that her suit must shine purple!
I hadn’t really thought about it but it could be fun, I’m more interested in Joker though!
Thanks guys for all the chit chat, I had a good time!
Stay safe out there and thanks again!
Hello! I’m totally preoccupied thinking of how great it would be if you worked on Gotham City Sirens and JLD, but I do have one Q: Do you plan to do any more Ladykiller?
Thank so much for being here, btw.
Was the 1990s catsuit technically purple though? It was more lavender to me… But I like the current modern suit much better!
Thanks for stopping by.
Stay Safe and enjoy.
I’m right in the middle of writing and drawing the third Lady Killer book right now!
@joellejones awesome. Take care. Thanx again.
Thanks for answering! Have a great day!
Thanks so much for joining us today @joellejones, it was so fun to get your insight into the process!
