Hey fellow DC fans. I want to ask you. What would you recommend me to read. I am cureently reading Identity crisis and Blackes Night and i dont know what to read next
Well, Brightest Day happens pretty much right as Blackest Night ends, so that’s a pretty logical choice.
Oh and also NOT TDKR. Im planning on reading this
Identity Crisis leads to Infinite Crisis, and after Infinite Crisis you should absolutely read 52.
What should one read before identity crisis?
@xtropicalz i dont know tell me
@xtropicalz The Public Enemies and The Return of the Supergirl from Krypton arcs of Superman/Batman (issues 1-6 for PE, 8-12 for Supergirl).
They have nothing to do with Identity Crisis (they take place before it) but they’re both tremendously entertaining arcs as are the movies based off of them, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies and Superman/Batman: Apocalypse.
Best Batman stories off the top of my head: Year One, Long Halloween, The Killing Joke, Hush, The Court of Owls, R.I.P, Black Mirror, Under the Red Hood, Knightfall, The Dark Knight Returns.
I would read Year One first and then the rest and then TDKR at the end. I feel like it would feel like a beginning and end if you started with Year One and read any of the stories from above and then ended with The Dark Knight Returns.
Best GL stories: Rebirth, Blackest Night, Brightest Day, Secret Origin, Sinestro Corps War, Circle of Fire, Emerald Twilight, Emerald Dawn, Sinestro.
Honestly with GL, Geoff Johns whole run and whatever other work hes done with the character is top notch. And if your interested, Grant Morrison current new run on the character has been absolutely stellar and critically acclaimed.
Best Justice League Stories: Grant Morrisons run( New World Order, Rock of Ages), Tower of Babel, Kingdom Come, Crisis on Infinite Earths, Justice for All, Divided We Fall, Final Crisis.
These are some of my favorites as well as they are some of the most famous and most critically acclaimed stories from Justice League, Batman and Green Lantern.
Well, if you’re enjoying Identity Crisis and want another good mystery, try Batman: Hush.
Thank you for all the recommendations
Thanks to everyone who pitched in! There are some awesome suggestions here and I’m a big fan of Blackest Night and Brightest Day in particular.
I also see some new titles and know what I’m going to be reading later.
