The Legion of Super-heroes in the 31st Century (2007-) #7
The 31st century and Paradise Island are my two favorite parts of the DC universe, so it was disappointing to see how mediocre this issue was. Up until this point you’d managed a level of intelligence and sensitivity that almost made me forget I was reading a tie-in comic for a kid’s cartoon. Now I am forcibly reminded. How did this manage to be more sexist and degrading than the “revolt of the girl Legionnaires” plots? How did you get New Themyscira to somehow feel less advanced than its present-day counterpart? I don’t expect much of these comics, but I do expect them to be better than slogging through the less iconic parts of the Silver Age.
