He wrote it. It gets weird. Hallucinogens and everything.

On here, I’ve been reading New Krypton. The saga is long and there is a lot of setup. I am currently taking a little break from it and reading some old Doom Patrol (My Greatest Adventures), since I love the show so much. I plan to get back to New Krypton soon. I also have Black Orchid, which I can’t wait to dig my claws into.

I just finished Harleen today and OHMYGOSH IT WAS GOOD!!! Reading has been a bit of a struggle for me over the past few months… I’m starting to feel like myself from almost 2 years ago, when I would take a graphic novel to school and finish reading them before 5 pm, to the point where mom had to order the deluxe versions so I would still have something to read later. I miss those times…

I just finished a long run of the Countdown to Infinite Crisis. If you are like me and you like to read things in the order that the books hit the shelves, I came up with the below order by publication date. It includes the OMAC Project, Villians United, Rann-Thangar War, and Day of Vengeance and the beginning of Under the Red Hood crossovers.

This was a good prelude to the Infinite Crisis event. The one right before this one is Identity Crisis. I started Infinite Crisis today. If you had to only choose only one of these prelude crossovers to read before you read Infinite Crisis, I recommend OMAC Project. It was the most interesting to me. Then again, I love Superman, so my opinion is biased. NIghtwings story in all of this is also very interesting. Looking forward to seeing where that goes. I don’t know a whole lot about Nightwing. It’s not a title I normally read.

Been reading Pandora: Trinity of Sin and Event Leviathan most recently.

Pandora is a weird one. Her series has been almost completely taken over by Trinity War and Forever Evil: Blight. The character premise is great, but there’s been no time to flesh it out since her first story started at the beginning of Trinity War and I haven’t had a single issue that wasn’t a crossover event. I don’t have a read on her personality, and her powers seem to be vaguely defined Magic. I find magical characters to be problematic when their rules aren’t defined. As far as Trinity War goes, it was okay but a bit meandering. That goes double for Forever Evil: Blight. Some really cool ideas in there, but as a crossover interesting with five different series, it’s not very smooth and the focus keeps changing. The character only has about six issues that aren’t crossover, and then her series was canceled. Don’t think I’ve ever heard of her again. Don’t know if she was killed or what.

I’m on issue 4 of 6 on Leviathan, and it’s objectively not good, but I admit I’m enjoying it. Characters are not acting in character. The pacing and plot are a mess. I can’t figure out who thought Plastic Man was one of the world’s greatest detectives, BUT the premise is intriguing and it’s kind of light and breezy…which is probably the wrong tone for a mystery thriller. I also hear the reveal of the bad guy is bullocks, so that will probably sour me on it sense I’m currently have that as a hook.
